When older adults enroll at Ascension Living Alexian PACE, they receive the added benefit of having access to a team who fully understand the complex medical issues associated with aging. Personalized coordinated care is provided in the home, at the PACE center, PACE medical clinic, as well as in the hospital and other necessary medical settings.

Meet Beth!

Beth has worked at Ascension Living Alexian PACE since 2014. She joined the team as the Director of Rehabilitation and in 2022 moved into the Site Director role. Prior to PACE, she served as a physical therapist at Siskin Hospital for Physical Rehabilitation, and then as Director of Outpatient Rehab at Ascension Living Alexian Village of TN.

Beth obtained her PT degree from the Medical University of South Carolina and is
Board Certified in Geriatric Physical Therapy. She is committed to the mission of PACE, which is all inclusive care for the elderly, combining medical and social services for complete wrap-around care to participants. She brings compassion, humility and a heart for service to her work. 

Beth also serves as the Board Secretary for Adaptive Tai Chi International and volunteers as a Tai Chi Instructor to Veterans. She also performs regularly with Barking Legs Theater.
Beth resides locally with her husband Tom, and is the proud mother of two adult sons, Brock and Ian.

Lorna Birch

Meet Dr. Lorna Birch!

“What I enjoy most about caring for older adults at PACE is the challenge and satisfaction of providing care that leads to quality of life.”

Dr. Birch is the medical director of Alexian PACE, and has been practicing medicine at PACE for 15 years. She is certified in internal medicine and geriatric medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. She has served on the faculties of the Geriatric Medicine Fellowship Program and the Internal Medicine Residency Program at UT College of Medicine, Chattanooga. She has extensive experience in clinic, nursing home, hospital and hospice geriatric care.

Education: MD, State University of New York at Stony Brook; Geriatric Medicine Fellowship, Montefiore Medical Center, Albert Einstein School of Medicine in Bronx, NY 

Heather Stanfield
MSN, APRN, FNP-BC
Meet Heather!

Heather Leigh Stanfield is a Nurse Practitioner with 16 years of experience in primary care, long term care,and rehabilitation care. She has taught undergraduate and graduate level nursing students, as well as developed curriculum for interprofessional learning in the university setting. Heather has a passion for geriatric care and interprofessional healthcare. She previously served as President of Chattanooga Area Nurses in Advanced Practice. Heather received her certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the American Nurse Credentialing center.

Meet Dr. Beri!

Dr. Beri serves patients in the clinic and long-term settings. She is certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology in New Delhi, India, and later completed her internal medicine residency at UT College of Medicine.

Ann Binoy

Meet Ann!

Ann Binoy is a Nurse Practitioner with experience in geriatric health and serves patients in long-term care settings. Ann has received her certification as Family Nurse Practitioner from American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Prior to joining to PACE, she worked at CHI-Memorial Health System, Parkridge Medical Center, and Emory University Hospital where she worked in CVICU, MICU, surgical units and Telemetry. She also has experience as a clinical instructor.

Ruth Ann Hampton

Meet Ruth Ann!

Ruth Ann is a Nurse Practitioner with broad nursing experience that includes bedside, personnel management, emergency interventions, and process improvement compliance. Prior to joining PACE, she was honored as employee of the year, and received the Nurse of Excellence Award at CHI Memorial Health System. She served as manager of the Cardiovascular Surgery Department and Assistant Director of the Cardiac Medical Surgical Care Unit at CHI Memorial Hospital. Ruth Ann has been a guest speaker at Chattanooga Heart Symposium, and is an enthusiastic community volunteer.

Rohini Alay
MD
Meet Dr. Alay!

Dr. Alay serves patients in the clinic and long-term care settings.  Prior to joining PACE she was on the faculty at UT College of Medicine and Erlanger. She served as a hospitalist at CHI Memorial for seven years, and owned a private practice for 12 years. Dr. Alay completed her residency at the University of Nevada School of Medicine, Las Vegas.
