"One of the hardest thing to do in life is to go from being the child to being the parent. You put it off until you realize your parent is no longer safe on their own. Then you start the search for an assisted living facility. I am so thankful our family physician, Dr. Pante, suggested I look at Sherbrooke Village in South St. Louis County. It took a couple weeks for my Dad to get oriented but it has been very successful. This success was aided because of the competent assisted living staff. The nurse has been very available and gotten my dad set up with every thing he needed. The day med nurse, is very patient and I can tell has many years of working with the elderly. I have not met Terry, the evening med nurse but my dad talks favorably of him. There are several CNA’s who have been very present in my dads care. They check in with my dad frequently thought the day and evening. My dad and I are trying to learn all their names, there are a couple who check on my dad every time they walk down the hall on the day shift. It is so reassuring to know these upbeat, pleasant, hard working CNA staff are so kind and keeping an eye on my dad. It makes leaving my dad at Sherbrooke so much easier. Thank you, to all in the Assisted Living Medical Staff, the Dietary and Kitchen staff, the Maintenance staff and the Social Workers for all they do to help my dad feel at home in his new home!"
